Privacy Policy

Genius CBT is a practice app that helps students prepare for exams such as JAMB UTME and WAEC using timed computer-based tests. Genius CBT is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to JAMB, WAEC, NECO or any government body. The questions in the app are past practice questions provided for revision only. They are not an official exam paper, and we do not guarantee that they will appear in any real exam.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and the password you choose. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
- Profile information: any name or username you enter when you register.
- Activity in the app: your chosen subjects, answers, scores, grades, exam and practice attempts, and leaderboard entries.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or files. We do not show ads and we do not sell your data.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, including email verification and password reset.
- To run exams and practice sessions, calculate scores and show your results and review.
- To show leaderboards of top scores.
- To fix problems and improve the questions and features.
3. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). The website is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf and have their own security and privacy practices. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
4. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers named above, or if the law requires it. If you appear on a leaderboard, your display name and score may be visible to other students.
5. How long we keep data
We keep your account and results while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see section 6).
6. Your choices and deleting your data
You can delete your account and data yourself inside the app: sign in, scroll to the bottom of your dashboard, tap Delete account and confirm with your password. This permanently removes your account, exam and practice history, answer reviews, leaderboard entry and messages.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and all related data without using the app, email us at the address below from the email you registered with. We will respond and complete deletion within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
7. Children
Genius CBT is for secondary school students preparing for exams. If you are under 13, please use the app with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect more information than is needed to run your account. A parent or guardian may contact us to have a child's data deleted.
8. Security
We use Firebase security rules and encrypted connections to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and do not share it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
